The Marotte HS (High Sampling Rate) is our next generation drag-tilt current meter invented at the laboratory. It features a new housing and custom electronics developed in-house. The sensitivity of speed measurements has been increased, while the addition of a magnetometer allows for direction measurement without having to know the orientation of the instrument when deployed.

The Marine Geophysics Laboratory Nephelometer measures sediment deposition, turbidity, water depth, RMS water depth, water temperature and photosynthetically active radiation. These instruments are based on a Campbell’s Scientific 1000 data logger that has been programmed to measure and store these marine physical parameters using specifically designed sensors.

The Marine Geophysics Laboratory is continuously researching and designing instrumentation.  For enquiries regarding project specific instrumentation please contact us.
